Election Competition
I want to run an election competition.
You are all welcome to join in. Guess the number of seats National and Labour will win. The closest for each will win a crunchie bar.
Conditions apply.
1. You must be in Auckland to win the crunchie bar.
2. Your entry (in the comments of this post) must be made by Wednesday 14 September.
3. You must leave a way for me to contact you.
4. The judges decision is final. Deal with it. I think I'm also meant to say something about correspondence.
5. One entry per person.
Edit: The crunchie bar may be exchanged for something of lesser or much lesser value.

I can't get the chokkie bar either, but here's my guess:
Labour - 53
National - 49
The small parties gobbling the remainder. I just realised it's the same numbers as Debs', but I reckon Labour will nab it instead. Being the incumbent, riding the back of a healthy economy, and being the political witch she is should buoy Helen to the top once more.
But it's a close shave either way.

Nice of you to stop by Andrew! :)
By Scotty, at 7:19 AM, September 13, 2005
National - 52
Labour - 50
NZ First - 7
Greens - 6
UF - 2
Maori - 4 (overhang of 2)
Progressives - 1
By Jonathan, at 8:33 AM, September 14, 2005
notice the over hang creates a parliment od 122 seats.
National, NZ First, UF have 61 seats
Labour , Greens, Progressives and Maori have 61...
This will be an exciting election!
